Restored in 1993 by Dirk Steyaert, this eclectic building stands
on the corner of Gent's Sint Baafsplein and Biezekapelstraat. It
was constructed at the turn of the 20th century from the draft
plans of Jules Van Den Hende. Although elements of Gothic
Revival are discernible, the building comprises many elements of
Art Nouveau. The symmetric composition presents a harmonious
building with a great sense of aesthetically-pleasing
proportionality and balance.
