Taken in the early years of the Edwardian era, this is a
delightful image of the Promenade Gardens in Stourbridge. The
bandstand can be seen, the fountain is in full flow and the park
is packed. A man with a straw boater is stood next to the
railings - he may be acting as a warden. Located in what is
known today as the Old Quarter, the site is now known as
Greenfield Gardens. |
