This image was taken not long after the Stourbridge Railway Smash of April 1905. The locomotive and trucks have the livery of the Great Western Railway. A gasometer can be seen in the background so the location is the goods yard and offices at Holloway End just across the River Stour in Amblecote, Staffordshire. Apartments have since been built on the site of the Gas Works which was overlooked by the wall and railings of Holy Trinity Church.
