Tewkesbury - Britannia Inn |

|
|
|
The Britannia Inn is located on the corner of High Street and
Smith's Lane. Although the building dates from the 18th century,
it was not licensed until after the 1830 Beerhouse Act. William
Brooking was recorded as the publican in 1841. By 1871 the pub
was trading as the Britannia Wine Vaults and was managed by
Charles and Sarah Dyer for the Cheltenham-based firm of John
Dobell & Co. |
