First produced in May 1957, this is a Brown Ale beer label from the old Springfield Brewery of William Butler and Co. Ltd. in Wolverhampton. The company was founded in 1840 and registered in April 1891. The company was acquired by Mitchell's and Butler's in 1960. The Springfield Brewery was eventually closed around 1990.
