This pub faced an uncertain future in 2008 - a terrible shame
since it is a lovely building. The imposing corner edifice was
the work of the eminent architect Henry Naden, the man
responsible for some of Birmingham's finest public houses,
notably the Woodman Inn on Easy Row. The original Yorkshire Grey
was part of Henry Mitchell's estate of pubs prior to the merger
with William Butler's Crown Brewery.
