A view along Bath Road at Woolhampton with the Angel Inn on the right-hand side. This hostelry has since been rebuilt but the shop on the left remains - last seen as a carpet shop. The drinking fountain on the left was erected for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897 and was restored in 2011. At the time of this photograph the old Angel Inn was run by George Henry Adams. There are elements of this photograph that are not quite in focus - blame the photographer on the day. However, it is still a nice image and an excellent look at old Woolhampton.
